What I have learned
My college magazine I made
was intended to be a standard front cover and contents page, it turned out to
be quite simple and basic. The colour scheme for the text was made to black and
red as they contrast each other well making each one stand out, Headlines and
the masthead was in black while information such as pages and the issue and
date of the magazine was in red.
The audience for my magazine
would be in the age range of 16-19 as this would either be because they would
be in year 11 and would want to know more about college life and how it is, or
it may be for newcomers to the college who have just started to give them
information they may want or need or they may want to know general information
about the college, or it may be people who have been at the college a while and
just want to know general information about what’s going on in college. The
audience code will there fore be group D. My magazine includes information
about college and there fore gives the audience the information there looking
for.
Doing this task I have found
out how to upload different things such as word documents, Photoshop work,
prezi’s and power points to my blog. Now I can use my blog effectively and
upload any work I need to my blog quickly and from home, college or the library
as I an access my blog from anywhere with WIFI.
In this task I have learned
how to use Photoshop’s basic features, however I found Photoshop very stressful
and difficult to get used to. However now I am confident I can make something
basic with Photoshop and I am confident I will continue my skills on Photoshop.
My basic skills can now be
used to make my actual magazine as I can apply text; change fonts, crop images
and add images, which I can apply to my actual music magazine when I come to
make it.
Overall I am not happy how my
college magazine turned out I believe it was too basic and did not include as
much skills as I would have liked my magazine to contain, however I found
Photoshop very difficult but I still managed to create a simple magazine cover
and a simple magazine contents page.
